Monsoon - exercise

During monsoon our metabolism is slower, so intense exercise is not managed well by the body.


For vata types, it is better they slow down and do low intensity exercise:

🚶‍♀️Walking

🧘🏻‍♀️Low impact yoga such as yin or restorative.


Pitta people can handle more intense exercise and it can keep their digestive fire going during monsoon. However, if the exercise is too intense in a hot and humid climate, this can throw their pitta energy out of wack.


Examples for exercise for pitta people during monsoon:

🧎‍♀️Circuit training

🤸🏻‍♀️Hatha/ ashtanga yoga

🥾Hiking.


For kapha people, as they have good strength and stamina, they should engage in more intense exercise to expel excess kapha from the body. Examples:

🏋🏻‍♀️HIIT

🤸🏻‍♀️Ashtanga/ vinyasa yoga

🥾Hiking.
