The kapha dosha is responsible for structural integrity, cohesion and mass. It helps to maintain structure in the body, stability, repair, growth and strength.

A kapha imbalance causes over accumulation (excess).

Causes of kapha imbalance can be

• Excess eating

• Eating heavy foods

• Eating late at night

• A sedentary life

• Sleeping too much

• Not waking early

• Hot/ humid weather
